Reporting a problem with the test
If the test will not start, stops part way, or gives a result that looks wrong, the details below let us reproduce it without a long back-and-forth:
- The browser and version, and whether it is a phone, tablet or computer.
- How you were connected: wifi or cable, home, office, school or public network, and whether a VPN was on.
- The exact message shown under the Start button, or the copied result line.
- Roughly when you ran it, including your time zone.
A test that cannot connect at all is almost always a network that blocks UDP rather than a fault with the site. The UDP blocked guide explains how to check that before writing in.
Questions about your connection
We cannot see or diagnose your line, and we are not affiliated with any internet provider. For persistent packet loss on a cable with nothing else running, your provider is the one who can check the line. The guide how to fix packet loss covers what to try first and what to include when you report it to them.
Suggestions and corrections
If a guide is wrong, out of date or missing a situation you ran into, tell us. Corrections with a source are especially welcome, and we update the page and its review date when we change it.
